Published! "Origin Stories: On Faith and (Science) Fiction"

And at long last it came to pass…an essay has been published! By me! This appeared in the most recent issue of Humanities North Dakota. Uploading PDF’s to Squarespace has proven a vexing challenge, so instead of pulling a Darth Vader and force-choking my website (which would seem counterproductive for so many reasons), I’m including a link to my Google Drive where you can download a PDF of the essay. This also maintains the accessibility of the PDF, which should work with screen readers. If you attempt to use a screen reader and it does not work for any reason, please contact me and I will troubleshoot (is ‘trouble-force-choke’ not a compund verb we could use in English? Hmmmm).

This was a really fun piece to write, I think it contains the building blocks for what I hope will be a much longer piece down the road. Reflecting on the intersection of religion and science fiction as it pertained to my life was incredibly eye-opening. Thank you to everyone at Humanities North Dakota who helped shepherd this piece along from draft to publication. And I love the opening art work!
